What is LN2 switch's function on GAMING Z97X board?

This switch is for overclock use with liquid nitrogen.

It will allow system boot up properly when CPU temperature is in very low temperature.

Normal operation or overclock does not require to use this special switch.

Here is the LN2 switch's function wrote in user manual:

:[When the LN2 mode is ON, the motherboard can boot at an extremely low temperature (-130°C).

Note: CPU will run at 800 MHz speed when apply LN2 to ON.

How do I disable the mouse LED when system power is turned off?

Please enable EuP(ErP) function in BIOS to turn off all the stand-by power for the USB ports. Under Windows 10 OS Setting: Power Options/System settings > Do not select [Fast Startup] to disable mouse and keyboard after system shutdown.

Why my Hi-Fi Z97W or Hi-Fi Z97X motherboard will have USB keyboard and mouse problem when install Windows 7 OS?

When plug USB keyboard and mouse on RJ45USB connector's USB 3.1 ports, it will have problem to work properly during Windows 7 installation interface.

This USB 3.1 port is controlled by ASMEDIA ASM1142 3.1 USB chipset.

However this chipset does not have driver under Windows 7 installation interface.

It will need to install ASMEDIA USB 3.1 driver in Windows 7 to let this USB port working properly.

How to set my USB pen drive(flash disk) as first boot device?

If you have an bootable USB pen drive (flash disk), please refer the BIOS setting here:

1. Plug in USB flash drive, then boot up to BIOS> Boot menu.

2. Select [Hard Drive BBS Priorities].

3. In [Boot Option #1] Select [Generic USB Flash Device] for first boot device.

4. You can see [Boot Option #1] has [Generic USB Flash Device] as first boot device.

5. Save and exit BIOS for next reboot.

6. If use Intel chipset model, please go to BIOS> Advanced> USB Configuration.

Set XHCI mode to [Auto], then save and exit the BIOS setting.

Will J1800NH2 support SODIMM with 1.35V?

There will be no problem for J1800NH2 to support 1.35V SODIMM.

I got unknown device "ROOTMSSMBIOS000" on my system, how can I fix it?

You might check if you just install a new device to your system, then you will need to install the driver for it.

Or this could be virus to cause the system have unknown device.

If so, then you might need to back up all important data and clean the hard drive with anti virus program.

The USB 3.0 ports do not work properly on Hi-Fi Z97W motherboard, how can I fix it?

Please double check if Intel USB 3.0 driver installed to your system.

All USB 3.0 port need to install proper driver from driver CD to work.

Without driver, all USB 3.0 port might not work properly.

Will my FM2+ board supports AMD Godavari CPU?

After update latest BIOS and latest chipset driver from our download section, FM2+ motherboard will be able to support AMD Godavari CPU.

System will still be able to boot up properly with BIOS on-board.

So you can install the CPU first, then update BIOS and driver later.

My system does not boot after BIOS update, what can I do?

There always a chance that BIOS might fail after update.

If your system is running fine, then there is no need to update BIOS.

However, if system does not boot after BIOS update, please refer this information.

If there is no help after BIOS recovery, then you might need to contact local shop or local dealer help you to re-program the BIOS EPROM.

After install the second memory module, my system will not get POST and error beep sound comes up.

The error beep sound after second memory module installation means memory have problem.

It will be best to remove the newly added memory module from the system.

The best way to use two or more memory modules on the motherboard is to use memory modules from same batch with same speed and size.

Otherwise motherboard's BIOS will not be able to support all different memory timing setting at same time.

The result will cause system unable to boot with black screen.
